Sri Neminath, also known as Neminatha, is the twenty-second Tirthankara of Jainism, an ancient religion of India. He was born in 922 BCE in Sauripura, in the kingdom of Dvaraka, and died in 812 BCE. Neminath is particularly revered for attaining spiritual enlightenment and teaching fundamental principles such as ahimsa (non-violence) and satya (truth). According to Jain texts, Neminath was a prince of the Yadava dynasty who renounced his kingdom and material possessions to pursue a life of asceticism and spirituality. His symbol is the conch, and he is often depicted in Jain iconography in deep meditation. Temples dedicated to Sri Neminath, such as those located at Girnar and Mount Abu, are significant pilgrimage sites for Jains.
