Geb

Geb is the god of the Earth in Egyptian mythology, often depicted lying beneath the sky, formed by his sister and wife Nut, the goddess of the sky.

In Egyptian mythology, Geb is the god of the Earth and one of the primordial deities of the Heliopolitan Ennead. He is the son of Shu (the god of air) and Tefnut (the goddess of moisture), and the brother and husband of Nut, the goddess of the sky. Together, they gave birth to four children: Osiris, Isis, Seth, and Nephthys. According to legend, Geb and Nut were separated by their father Shu, preventing them from touching to allow the creation of the world. Geb is often depicted as a reclining figure adorned with vegetation, symbolizing the fertility of the Earth. He is associated with the earth element, agricultural prosperity, and the kingdom's stability. In funerary tradition, Geb is sometimes regarded as the god of the dead, due to his connection with the earth where the deceased are buried.
