Brahma

Brahma is one of the principal deities in Hinduism, known as the creator of the universe. He is part of the Hindu trinity, or Trimurti, alongside Vishnu and Shiva.

Brahma is worshipped as the creator god in Hinduism and is often depicted with four heads and four arms, symbolizing his ability to see in all directions and his omnipotence. According to Hindu mythology, Brahma was born from a lotus that emerged from the navel of Vishnu, floating on the cosmic ocean.

He is married to Sarasvati, the goddess of wisdom, music, and the arts. Brahma is also sometimes mentioned as the father of many divine children, including Narada, Daksha, and the seven great sages (Saptarishi).

Despite his crucial role as creator, Brahma is not as widely worshipped as Vishnu or Shiva. This is often attributed to various legends, one of which states that he was cursed by Shiva for lying. As a result, there are only a few temples dedicated to Brahma, the most famous being the Pushkar temple in Rajasthan, India.

Hindu sacred texts such as the Vedas, Puranas, and the Mahabharata describe in detail Brahma's role in the creation of the cosmos and living beings. He is also associated with wisdom and knowledge, often invoked in rites and prayers aimed at achieving enlightenment and divine understanding.
