He is best known for his close collaboration with architect Antoni Gaudí, whom he supported and financed throughout his career. Among the most famous projects funded by Güell are Park Güell, a large garden with modernist architectural elements, and Palau Güell, a luxurious urban residence located in the El Raval district of Barcelona. Eusebi Güell also funded the construction of Colònia Güell, an industrial and residential complex for the workers of his factories. Through his patronage, Güell played a crucial role in the development of modernist architecture in Catalonia, leaving a lasting legacy in the city of Barcelona. |
