Pushkar, Bhim, Udaipur, Ranakpur • India, Rajasthan (EN)

This is the second film in a series dedicated to our trip to Rajasthan in November 2015.

About the 4 places in this film

Bhim is a small town like so many others on the road from Jodhpur to Ranakpur. If it is not known for its historic monuments or temples, it remains a charming town with its street vendors, passers-by and its omnipresent cows.

Pushkar is an important spiritual center in Rajasthan. It has many temples and is a place of pilgrimage for both Hindus and Sikhs.

But what also makes it famous is its huge camel and marwari market which takes place every year in November.

Between Jodhpur and Udaipur is a small town called Ranakpur which is known worldwide for its magnificent Jain marble temple.

Udaipur is nicknamed "the city of lakes". It was the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar and was founded in 1558. It is very popular with tourists thanks to its system of artificial lakes (7) and its numerous palaces.
